On Sunday, March 22, 2015, Patrolman Robert Young Jr. responded to the Frenchtown IGA for a reported theft. Upon arrival, patrol met with a 91 year old female, who related that an unknown subject pulled her purse off of her shoulder and took off running. There was a witness who took off after the suspect. A search of the area was with negative results. The victim was not hurt and the total dollar amount in the purse was $20.00.
Description of the suspect is as follows: White male, dark blue jeans, green sweat jacket with hood on his head, 5′ 10″, 170 lbs, 19-20 years of age, slim build with no facial hair. The Hunterdon County Crime Stoppers have posted a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.
