Frenchtown Angels – Hurricane Sandy
On Sunday, November 18, 2012, the Frenchtown Angels delivered donated goods to the Silverton Fire Department in Toms River. We were met by Joe Cocco (OEM) and John Addalia (President SIlverton Fire Department), along with numerous volunteers. We unloaded both trucks and were given a tour of the devastation (see photos). A group photo was taken alongside one of their fire trucks, which was destroyed during the storm, while conducting rescue’s.
On the back of our Dodge Durango is a phrase “Silverton Strong”; this is to honor all that they did.
Dawn Taylor of Country Chic put together this donation drive and did a fabulous job. The donation drop-off was at 40 Bridge Street, property owner John Mathieu donated this space. I would like to thank all who contributed to this worthy cause.
